Electrolux HUSH Happier at Home

I am or was a happy-go-lucky person. I didn't even know how to wash the dishes, clean the house, do the laundry or even cook! But ever since I became a mom and wife, I try my best to make sure that my hubby and baby are well taken cared. So I learned everything from cleaning, washing, baking, preparing and cooking. It just came naturally. Ganon yata talaga kapag mommy na.

One thing I love doing is baking/cooking and preparing food and drinks. Ako pa man din yung tipong first try, almost perfect na! Kaya I am loving it more. The only thing that is preventing me to do so (always) is the lack of good kitchen appliances. I believe kasi na the food will be better if cooked the right way in the right kind of utensil or appliance. In example, when I was in college, I baked a cupcake using a Turbo machine. Imagine? Haha! Cupcake was delicious but it appeared not to be. Gets? It's not presentable but tastes good. Kasi, it was not baked properly in the right kind of oven. It'll be better sana if baked sa oven talaga. Diba?

So anyway, every time I prepare a meal or merienda, hubby always wants to have either juice, shake/smoothie or soda. But we are now trying to cut it off, I mean the soda, 'coz nawiwili masyado si baby. So NO to soda for now. Hubby's favorites are Country Time Pink Lemonade and the Kool Aid Strawberry. Minsan I would make them not as juice but shake. The thing is, I really seldom make them as shake 'coz little Johann doesn't like the noise. It's too loud that it scares him. Always yan! He would cry and run to his dad. I don't know nga eh, even the hand mixer nga takot 'cya. Oh well.

I have a recent discovery though. I present to you, The Electrolux Powermix Silent Blender. I researched and read most reviews regarding this amazing blender. IT DOES NOT SCARE BABIES OR TODDLERS! Why so? Well, as the name goes, "Silent Blender".
Sooo Stylish!

Yezzz! We may have one those conventional blenders at home but the Powermix Silent Blender is really waaaaay better! It is 10x quieter than the average blender that we have. Powerful but Quiet, not to mention Neat and Stylish. What more can we ask for?

Things to love:
1. Easy to clean because Electrolux made the jug's inside smooth. Blades are removable too! So no left overs in the blades of the blender. (Ganyan yung luma naming blender! Magkakasugat ka muna bago mo malinis yung ilalim nung blade. Di kasi natatanggal. Hehe.)
Removable!

2. Any food that we blend will be pulled down to the blades since it has a triangular jug design. It creates a vortex effect that pulls it to the blades. We don't really have to worry with chunk of food stuck on the walls of our blender.
See the vortex?

3. It's not only a blender but a mini chopper. It has an additional accessory to chop/grind. Plus, a fruit filter, so it would automatically separate the fresh fruit juice from it's seeds, pits or pulp.
Fruit Filter

4. As mentioned, it is Quiet. It features a Sound Reduction System, a unique combination of reduced vibrations and airflow. Sound level - 80 dB (parang sound ng phone dial tone). It's that quiet! (Source)

5. And lastly, easy to use! You don't have to make pili of what button to press 'coz the only thing you need to control is the speed dial. From 0 - Pulse - Min - Max.
Easy right?

Is there anything we should/would hate? None! Besides, it is from a trusted brand, Electrolux.

Baby-Compatible.
Conversation-Compatible.

I am sure, weekends won't be the same again. It would be more fun, quieter and more relaxing having cool drinks and merienda or meals, hassle-free and scare-free, especially to my baby! Ooh! Did I also mention? Hubby is a bartender. Once in awhile, during Sundays, he would mix some drinks for us. It us our ultimate bonding session, alcohol/cocktail drinking. He would sometimes use our noisy blender in making mojito. It would be awesome if he'd do it noise-free!

Have a happy weekend everyone! :)

Great Finds 1!

I am a sucker for home organizing stuff. Post its, notepads, utility boxes, boxes with dividers, baskets etc. Since our house is so cluttered, I really need those! Hehe. And did I mention, my mind is cluttered too? Haha! That's why may post its and notepads.. I love to list my thoughts! :D

Believe it or not, I can be soooo organized at times, pero pag nagmamadali, I tend to put things anywhere nalang. However, may cycle cya, once I notice that it is so messy already, back to linis, ligpit and organize na.

So anyway, I passed by Daiso Japan Home Center in ATC last Monday. Here are the things I bought:

Toothbrush holder with cup
see? mga pang organize ng kung anik-anik.
May, my bestfriend, bought this liquid soap. I got inggit, I bought two, to try. Hehe.
Mabango cya infairness and soft sa skin.
Handy Medicine Organizer for me. John already has his, ako naman.
Rack with stand.
Basket for whatevers
Those are really cheap! Great finds too!

Q: What are your recent loots/finds?
Would you prefer the cheap ones or the expensive ones?

The J.Co Craze

I am craving right now! For donuts! Paano ba naman ako papayat neto? All I think about is food!

Last time, when I went out with my bestfriend, May, I told her that I want to try those donuts from J.Co. I have been seeing my friends' photos from Facebook and Instagram showing yummy donuts from J.Co. Aside from those good looking tasty treats on the photos, is the long line of people. They must really be good! So, I got curious, that I want to have that experience too!

J.Co
Since we were in ATC lunch time palang, we had all the time to catch up with each other, to eat lunch nang hindi nagmamadali, and to stroll around. Passed by Daiso Japan Home Center to buy some stuff and decided to buy donuts before going home.

With May
Waiting for our turn
And as expected, people are lining up waiting for their turn to order. Line was not that long compared to what I saw in my friends' photos. May be because it was still early, all the other peeps are still in school or office.

There were a lot of choices! Was not able to take more pictures because I was too busy thinking of what flavors to buy. Hihi. But I went for Alcapone, Oreology, Avocado and Jcoppuccino/Jcoccinno (I forgot). I like most was the Avocado. Too bad, I only ordered 1 of that flavor. Next time nalang!

Very nice packaging.
Alabang, Muntinlupa is a no-plastic city already, so this packaging of J.Co is very nice and handy. I like it!

Avocado, Jcoccino/Jcoppuccino, Oreology and Alcapone
I love the donuts! I want to try the other flavors! Will ask John to go with me mamaya! Haha! Excited? #cravings

Lunch Date with Twin!

Hiyee!

Yesterday, my best friend/twin, May, and I decided to have a lunch date. It has been 3-4 months I think, since we last saw each other. Take note, we live in the same village ah! Hehe.. She has been busy with work, ako naman, been sick, been busy and our free time just doesn't jive. Buti nalang, we were both free yesterday.

That's my twinee May @ Chili's.

We had lunch in Chili's Alabang Town Center. It was our first time to eat there. Food was really great. We ordered Triple Dipper, it is like a platter that consists of Chicken Crispers, Wings Over Buffalo and Southwestern Eggrols. I am a whatever foodie so I loved all three! Hehehe. Then we also ordered Grilled Shrimp Alfredo Pasta with Mushrooms as added topping. I love anything with shrimp and mushroom. So yeah, I liked, no, loved the pasta as well.

Top Left: Triple Dipper, Top Right: Grilled Shrimp Alfredo Pasta with Mushrooms
Bottom Left: Logo, Bottom Center: BlodyMary, Bottom Right: Zombie

We wanted to make sulit of our lunch date and since we needed to go home just before the sun sets, we ordered alcohol/cocktail. Yez!! sa tanghali po yan. Haha! Mine was BloodyMary and May ordered Zombie. We didn't finish drinking it eh because we were sooo full already. We spent 3 hours yata eating and chikahan.

I had a great time kasi kwentuhan galore kaming dalawa. That's actually our usual naman so, nothing new. Hehe.

In the bus on our way home. Oily and ngarag na! Hehe.
Missed her so yesterday was a blast.

Fishy Fishy

One of the few words Johann actually said first is "fish". We usually have ulam on the dining table na fish. Since it is a one syllable word, madali nya itong nabigkas noon. Now, it's not only ulam for him but a pet.

Well, John asked his family if we can have their aquarium installed in our house. They are not using it anymore kasi, so he "arbor-ed" it. It's like a 40-48 gallon tank. It's really big, not to mention heavy.

I am having second thoughts on that issue because, it's so masikip na outside, terrace area. However, he insisted. I don't want to argue anymore so I agreed nalang din, but there's a catch. He has to clean the terrace plus the aquarium always! Hehehe..

So now, we have a school of fish inside the tank. Shubunkin and Angelfish. I am still researching on how to take good care of these fishy fishy. It's not easy pala to have a fish. Two already died.

It is actually breaking my heart to see na nabawasan ng dalawa yung mga isda. Plus, the tank is so big that it makes it more depressing to see a small number of fish swimming. But, I just realized how calming it is to watch them swimming in the tank. Stress reliever ba.

Nevertheless, paninindigan na namin ito. Will ask John to buy more fish para mas masaya and mas maganda tignan. Hihi. The only thing is, Johann is always excited to see the fish that he taps and kisses the tank. Nagugulat yung mga isda eh. Hehe..

Question: Do you have pets at home?
How do you take good care of them?

Goodbye year of the Dragon! Hello Water Snake! :)

Source

If I am not mistaken, Snakes are in conflict with Tigers. I am a Fire Tiger. Hmmm.. According to a prediction for people in the year of the Tiger, this year won't go smooth for us. So better expect the unexpected. 2013 will be a poor year for us "daw".

But heck the kamalasan. Even if the prediction is negative, I better try to wake up everyday positively, end the day with a smile inspite of whatever will happen.

The nega energy will just attract more bad vibes that will make a day in my 2013 not so good. Ayoko maging domino effect ito na halos buong taon e negative.

Mantra for this year, Wake up positive. Sleep with a smile. Ignore all negative vibes. Be patient. Loosen up but don't crack.

Goodluck! Hehe.

Again, Happy Chinese New Year everyone! :)

Now... I want some tikoy!! #cravings :)

24/7

Hello beautiful people! :)

I know it is kind of late night na, but this is the only time I can really concentrate on blogging. I have my hands full from the moment I wake up until the moment Johann sleeps at night. I really need a quiet time for blogging you know, and with Johann running around the house, won't really help me organize my thoughts.. Hehe..

Honestly though, I am online usually and mostly 24 hours a day. I just don't really get to blog a lot especially if I still have chores to do. I only check the social media and posts some things once in a while. Googling also is my thing with regards to checking recipes, how to do this and that and the like. There would be times also where in I pay the bills online. Very convenient! I can even check the bill/statement account online!

So, you see, I am not the nerdy nerdy geeky geeky type of person, but yes, I am always in front of the computer or ipad just to be online. Haha. I don't even switch the wifi modem off. As in it is running 24/7, even the laptop.

That's the beauty of having a very reliable internet provider. No problems at all! I have been a loyal customer of PLDT, I may say, because I get what I am paying for. I can be online 24/7 without having a hassle.

But, it all started when I needed to have internet for school way back highschool. So when I applied for their service, I took the advantage of that need of mine. I applied for the best plan a student would ever have. Hehe. I have the plan 1995 ever since. Been giving me the fastest internet speed. Even better when they provided me a wifi modem. We can use the internet by using a laptop, phone and ipad all at the same time. I even have the Telpad which is very useful. And it keeps getting better!

As I mentioned, I also availed of the PLDT Telpad. I like it so much! It has an Android OS. There are built-in apps that we can use here at home.

But first ofcourse, Telpad is a phone with a tablet. You can detach the tablet and can still use the Telpad like a normal phone. If you put the tablet back, it is like having the feeling of sossy-ness because you can dial phone numbers on the tablet. So parang, tuma-touch screen ka sa pagtawag sa kapitbahay mo. Hehe. Better if the person you're calling has a Telpad. You will be able to see other on the screen. Nice noh?

Since, it is a tablet, you can use it just like an iPad. You know kasi, here at home, the iPad belongs talaga to Johann. He plays games using it. John naman watches NBA a lot so he uses the laptop para he can also watch the games online. Eh since I want to check FB, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Blogger, Tumblr and a lot more, I want to use something to check those. Buti nalang may Telpad! I installed those apps in the Telpad so wala na kaming pakielamanan sa pagonline. Walang agawan. Hehe.

PLDT @ HOME is one of the cool apps the PLDT Telpad has. It is like an online directory of almost everything you need. Just click search, type in what you need and the app will provide you information linking to what you searched. Very convenient right?

And there's more! There are other built-in apps you can use which I know you will find interesting. Meralco app to check your bills, compute consumption and check updates, Bills Online app to check your PLDT bill online, TelMeHow to check on how to cook and other how to dos, and ofcourse, since Telpad has Android OS, you can still download apps and games of what you want and need.

Tell me, wouldn't you want a service like that? Well, I am a satisfied customer and I am getting more than what I am paying. Best provider ever (haven't been with other providers but I don't need OTHER provider), giving the best service and convenience at our fingertips. What more can we ask for? :)

For more info on PLDT @ Home, check this website.

PS: I mentioned above I am usually in front of the laptop/pc/ipad. Yes, I am. Always, but, only after I finish my chores, attended to Johann's and John's needs and when kiddo is sleeping already. Hihi. (Baka kasi sabihin ninyo, pinababayaan ko si kolokoy just to be online eh. Hehehe, nag-explain?)

Melancholic Night

I feel a little gloomy tonight. :(

You know the feeling of wanting to do something but you just can't? I am feeling that at the moment and I have been feeling that since last year. May be, before Christmas pa.

Okay, to get it straight, my camera is broken. My Nikon D5100. Fell off the car by accident, while John's getting off too. Sabay silang bumaba ng sasakyan! We argued with the issue but it was already settled. Okay naman kami. Hehe. However, I feel so depressed. I was not able to take photos of us last Christmas.. Even New Year.. and the recent occassion, which was the Christening of hubby's nephew.

I miss my camera! :(

I checked where we can have it fixed. The only place authorized to do so (I think...) is the Columbia Digital in Megamall. Diagnostic fee is P5,000. If they need to change a part inside, another payment pa. We really can't prioritize that now because we still have a lot of things to buy/pay/save for pa. Huhu.

This is one of those times where in it pushes me to work na for an extra income. As you all know, I am a full time mommy and wife. We don't really have that much money to make it (the repairing of camera) on top of the list.

As John said to me, smile na daw ako, in time we'll have it fixed din. I was agitated a bit with the word "in time???"... parang ang tagal ng "in time" eh.. When John noticed that "troubled-look" of mine, he clarified that we'll have it fixed in the first half of this year. :)

Petix muna ang bunsong baby ko.

Do you know any place/store that is authorized to repair this kind of camera, Nikon D5100? Thanks in advance!

Right Brained Person

Hello everyone!

How was your weekend? If you'd ask me, it went well. Saturday midnight, well, technically, Sunday na pala yun. Sunday nang madaling-araw, I helped my brother-in-law's wife (bilas) with decorating the balloons. Mind you, I am expert with that. Haha! Not really expert pala, I know quite a few tricks in decorating balloons in parties!

So yeah, went to their house to organize and decorate the balloons. It was the Christening of my husband's nephew kasi. Honestly, I was not able to take photos of the event 'coz my camera is broken. In the process of having it fixed. So I am still waiting for them to upload the pics.

Anyhoo.. since I already mentioned about decorating balloons, I want to share to you some of the pics taken from 2 of the events happened last year.

Christening: Balloon Pacifier and Balloon Cloud

Christening Event

Christening: Balloon Arc

Christening: Balloon Pillars (small)

Christening: Experimenting Balloon Designs

1st Birthday: Swags, Balloonderitas, Balloon Arc

1st Birthday: Balloon Arc

1st Birthday: Don't you just love those balloons? It makes
the area better for a party.

1st Birthday: Concept by me.

I am grateful of the talent I have. (Sabay, about me pala yung post ano? hehe.) I can be very creative in a lot of ways. I get excited everytime they ask me to help them in planning or decorating these for parties. God gave me this kind of talent and creativity, might as well share to others. These, by the way, were made/done for free. But if you want me to help you with decorating, it may come with a price ofcourse, but cheaper cyempre. :)

Aside from that pala, I am not only creative in decorating/planning designs for parties, I also apply my (being a right-brained-person) with editing and designing invites, souvenir stickers/cards etc.

I still have a few more in my external hard drive. I usually lend my help by editing/designing these (above) for them to use in the party itself. Plus, hindi yan bara-bara. I put my heart and mind into it ha! I want it to look nice din kasi. And if I'm not mistaken, my reputation is also at stake here. They know kasi that maganda ako gumawa ng mga ganito. Hihi. Unlike sa ibang nagpepersonalize, mejo template na kadalasan ang meron sila. Right?

Atleast though, I can say, I am still good at some things aside from being a mother and wife to Johann and John. :) These things also help and save me from the boredomness at home sometimes. Hihi.

If you want my help/services feel free to email me, message me or leave a comment. :)

Some backgrounds, designs, wallpapers used in making print outs above were from the internet websites which I was not able to recall/note. Credits to those who made those. But layout/design/edit are purely mine. :)
