Welcome To The (Mother) Hood

It's past midnight. I opened the dashboard and opened the recent posts of other blogger I follow. Came across Topaz Mommy's blog. I saw this video Mommy Frances posted.

Here's the lyrics..

"This is my crib, and these are my babes,
My life and body have somewhat changed
I'm living it large, and by large I mean bigger,
At least now I know the difference tween a tractor and a digger
I express like the best from these holes in my chest,
wear my nursing bra, like a bulletproof vest
Got my bitches by my side and my hose in the back,

Swap my sexy handbag for a snot stained sack
My decor was smart, my taste was extra picky
Now my surfaces are cluttered, and nearly always sticky
Work versus home is a mental combination
with my elbows deep, in infant defecation
Wipe the sick off my coat, but the smell still lingers
Gave up on real food, eat leftover fishfingers

Once we'd talk about our lives, now the conversation switches
We compare cesarian scars episiotomy stitches
It's the motherhood, it's another hood
I'd like to welcome you, but now you're here for good
We go from nappy rash to ending family feuds
And I'm flooding up your timeline with my baby news.

Still got my wardrobe but my thong now itches
Designer sofa but now there's puke in the stitches
And I'm expressive, I express all the time
Cos the doc said, to not breastfeed is a crime
Tried to get my bod back with some yogalates
Hit up the Zumba class swing by these new pilates

I'm on an Atkins hype, on a Keto diet
I try avoid the bread so I nearly never buy it
Pop a nappy on his butt without a changing matt
CBeebies now my crew and I'm tight with Postman Pat
Sleep deprived and under house arrest
Think Id sell both kidneys just to get some rest
Spent three months in PJs it was clearly a sign

Joined a book club just so I could drink some wine
My sterilisers so dope all my bottles be gleaming
I got a blender out the back so I can start up the weaning
It's the motherhood, it's another hood
And once you're in the club, you're in for good.
Go from fighting nappy rash to endless doctor queues
And I'm flooding up your timeline with my baby news.

I'm a school-run-taker, fairy-cake-baker, deal-maker, orgasm-faker, nit-raker, rattle-shaker,
Cheese-grater, night-time-waker, I'm-a-placater, peacemaker..."

The video was actually true and hilarious at the same time. Being a mommy (especially full-time) is quite something new for me. It has been 2 years already since I became a first time mom. But heck, there's always a new discovery everyday.

Anyway, I really can't seem to disagree with what the video says. Most things mentioned happened or is happening to me as a mom. Hehehe.

....okay, lemme watch the video again! ehehe..

Best job in the world! :)

Planning My 2013

Before the year ended last year 2012, I decided to buy a 2013 planner. I tried searching for a perfect planner to carry around. I have had planners before that are too bulky to put in my everyday bag so, I had to leave them at home which came to a point that some of those planners have been forgotten as the months passed.

I bought a Paulo Coelho: Transformations Day Planner 2013 in National Bookstore for P495.00. Not bad. It is a colorful planner. I really like it because of it's simplicity and handiness. It's just like a typical notebook which you can put in your bag and bring everyday. :)

The planner is so ponder-y. Why? Because as you turn the page, there's a quote from Coelho's works. It makes me want to ponder on things thru the quotations.

However, come December, during our Christmas party (with Tarat), Yveth, who actually picked my name, gave me a planner. It is the Navi 2013: Your Life Navigator planner. It's simple too and handy, not as handy as Coelho's though.

Since it was given to me by a friend, I don't want to not use it. Ayoko naman sayangin siyempre. So, I really thought of how I'd maximize both things I have without disregarding the other one.

I decided to make the Coelho planner as my everyday planner. I put the things needed to be done and also I use it as a diary of some sort. Well, I usually write in my planner the things that happened in a certain day. Teehee!

Anyway, as for the other planner, I put the list of things of anything. List of what I need to buy, what I want to blog, and list of what I actually spent for the day.

Both planners so far are being used in such way. I don't want to waste what a friend has given me and certainly the thing I bought.

As for 2013... Goodluck! May these planners be good tools for me to accomplish things in this year. :)

Tagaytay (Bulalo) Experience

I have been requesting and talking to my sister-in-law to go to Tagaytay. I, personally want a different environment that's why I have been making kulit to her na mag-Bulalo with matching site-seeing kami sa Tagaytay. It was way overdue.

However, last November 19, my SIL, left for Singapore. Eh she and her hubby (my bilas), wanted to treat us before they leave. SIL wanted the place to be different naman daw. Nakakasawa kasi sa malls. So, then and there, November 18, a day before they left, I suggested for us to go to Tagaytay.

A friend of mine suggested a certain place where Bulalo is highly recommended. It was along Aguinaldo Highway. When we located the place, it was not over-looking Taal Volcano. The car slightly went on and we saw RSM Lutong Bahay Restaurant on the left side.

RSM Lutong Bahay Restaurant in Tagaytay

SIL and I checked first the menu and the place. We found it "presko". Food was appetizing din naman. Not sure at first if affordable but we decided to eat there. I called the rest of the family (nasa car kasi sila).

RSM Lutong Bahay Restaurant is such a big place. Once you enter, the restaurant's inside area will greet you. They even have pasalubong corner on the right and fast food. Fast food in the sense that you just pick what you want and it will be served to you right away. You can still order though and they will cook it for you after you choose what dish you like.

Outside / Back Area of RSM. Such a big place, it's just
that the photo does not really give justice.. hehe.. By the way,
I am with my little boy, Johann.

As you go through inside the restaurant, you will reach the stairs heading outside (back area) of the restaurant. It's really big and as I said, presko! We chose to eat outside because we can eat while appreciating the view of Taal Volcano.  There's still a place outside na parang kubo/open room/gazebo type. Dun kami kumain.

Taal Volcano
Amrix and Johann playing with the wooden carved Lion.
All ready to dig in.
This is the area where we ate. It is located at the back of RSM.
Presko kahit mukhang enclosed yung room..

They ordered Bulalo ofcourse, Laing, Tawilis, Lechon Kawali, Inihaw na Tilapia and Ensaladang Talong (ata). We thought, Bulalo was expensive, but for the serving they provided us, pwede na! =)

Sumptuous Bulalo. Generous enough for its price. Hindi rin nagsesebo.
Laing. Yummy!
Tawilis. Favorite!
Crispy Lechon Kawali.
Inihaw na Tilapia.
Ensaladang Talong? I'm not sure.
The food was great! I think, my SIL and her husband paid P3,000 + for all that we ate. Solb na solb!

And cyempre, hindi mawawala... Picture Taking! =)

Elaine, Hubby John and my little boy Johann.
My inaanak, Kiean, Kuya Vince (SIL's hubby) and Elaine

We all had a great time! Enjoyed the food, appreciated the view and the breeze of fresh air. Until next time! :)

dapat nga ba??

Date check! It is December 2, 2012. It just means that Multiply.com will soon come to its end. Well, not for the whole site but for some of its content, mainly photos, blog, videos etc. So, last November 29, I back read my blog posts in my Multiply and thought of sharing some here. I blogged there once in a while before but they're/some of are not so important at all. My poems are. Im'ma post one now.

It was way way 2004-2005 pa, when I wrote this. Teehee!

isang pagsisisi at panghihinayang,

ngayon,
sasabihin ko muli sa iyo,
ang itinitibok ng aking puso,
ay ikaw padin, walang ipinagbago..

di ko alam ang mangyayari sa susunod,
mamaya, bukas o sa darating na panahon.
ikinatatakot ko lamang na mangyayari,
pagmamahal sayo'y maglaho't masawi.

"tamang mahal padin kita,
at hindi dapat ganito ang sitwasyon,
nang dahil lamang sa maling desisyon...
na ngayo'y dapat sana....."

Nako! Don't ask the history of this poem. Hehe. Long story. :)

Q: Do you write poems? Would you mind sharing them here?

What ruined my weekend

Sorry if the title of this post is a little bit 'Nega'.

I just want to let this all out, just for the record.

A friend sent me a text message last week. He said, "Traydor!!!". My initial reaction was like, "Ha? Ano daw? Bakit ako traydor??" That was what I thought, so I replied to him with "Ha?" He replied back and it was just some prank message that has so-so meaning of what or how you replied on the first message, "Traydor!!"

So what I did, I tried to text them all to my close friends. To my surprise the following morning, I received 18 messages and 4 missed calls. It was hilarious! I replied back ofcourse. I forwarded them the so-so prank message reply and said peace!

Yes, it was funny to read all of their messages until I received a reply from a friend. Well, I consider him as my "bestfriend". We may not see and talk to each other that often, but I consider him that. Any way, his message contained his feelings on what I texted him, "Traydor". It really hurt me so, that I cried. That prank message backfired me. At was no fun at all anymore. :(

Just to tell you, that friend of mine and I had a misunderstanding. I was sulking on the fact that he has been ignoring me when I invited him to my son's birthday. I did not receive any reply at all. I would have understood if he just told me he can't make it because of this or that. He ignored me as if, he didn't care.

To make him notice that I was sulking the hell out of what happened, I erased him on my Facebook. But, as I expected, he didn't even bother to ask me why. Oh yeah!

Then prolly, he thought, I was serious when I texted him that "Traydor" message. May be it made his emotions come out. But, is that even "THAT" serious that he would say those kind of things to me? Haay.

I would not elaborate everything that he said but it sure hurt me a lot. :( He did not even bother to ask me how I feel and why I even texted that message. He just shoot me and ended our friendship right away. :(

I may be "tampo" but, I never thought of something worse than what he thought I was to him.

I missed him ever since. We haven't seen nor talked for quite a while, then it ended just like that. He is the only guy (aside from my husband) I trust so much that I even made him a "Ninong" for my son.

Haay.

Sorry. My pride might eat me alive but, as of the moment, I don't think, I can do the first move.
