S&R Member's Treat (First Timer)

I had a very tiring day. First, I slept late last night. Hindi na nga night eh, Wednesday na ng madaling araw, around 4am. Woke up 7-ish am, took a bath and fixed myself. I waited for my sis-in-law and mother-in-law to pick me up. And they did, around 8:50 am.

We arrived at S&R Alabang around 9:10 am. Parking was full already.

Near parking entrance
MIL and I decided to fall in line na while waiting for SIL to park the car. As expected, we were late! Haha. S&R opened 8am. By that time, madami nadin talagang tao. Mom called me before I left home, she mentioned that people are already piling up when she passed by S&R.

Mom: Kanina diba umalis ako mga 5:30am, andami nang tao dun.
Me: Oh? gaano kadami?
Mom: Madami talaga! Grabe pala talaga mag-sale dun ano? Grabe talaga!
Me: Hehe, kaya nga eh. Alis dapat kami before 8am kaso wala pa sina ate.

Yes! Mom was amazed on those people who fell in line as early as 5am.
We were at the end of the line.
Did you see the photo above? Grabe no! I am amazed myself. Madami talagang nagti-tiyaga pumila for S&R's Member's Treat Sale. Sorry, I really just can't help myself to be OA sa pagpopost once in a while ng sale sa S&R and items I bought since yesterday, it is my first time kasi talaga to go to their sale. It was a tiring but fun experience!
Me (left), Ate Jack (middle), and MIL (right)
We arrived there 9am diba? We actually entered S&R around 12nn na. We fell and waited in line for 3 hours.

MIL: Ang ti-tiyaga ng mga taong napila dito noh?
Me: Oo naman ma, sale yan eh! Shopping din yan!

I was surprised though, that there were no stampede inside! Haha. Well, I was really expecting that the inside will be packed with people. Balyahan sa sikip ang ineexpect ko. Hindi pala. I realized na, there are a lot of people lang talaga outside, waiting for their turn to enter the premises plus waiting for push carts din. Per member kasi is only allowed to have 2 push carts. Since ayaw din magkagulo gulo siguro sa loob, other people should wait for push carts to be available. Kaya pinapipila ng maayos sa labas.

However, just few minutes before we have actually entered, they (S&R Management) announced something. They said, they will allow people, who don't really need push carts, to enter ahead of those who are in line na need ang push carts. However, they still need to follow their line. They can over take those peeps na need ang push carts, pero in line padin. Well, yung iba, naguluhan sa announcement na ito. They thought, pwede sila umalis sa line nila then pumila dun sa isa pang entrance at dun pumila.

Other customers were losing their patience already. They were telling the management that it is unfair to let those people go ahead. Ikaw daw ba, pipila ka ng mahaba, tapos sale, tapos ang bibilhin mo hand full of items only? They were sure na hindi. Even the foreigner behind us told the management din na, if they let those people go ahead of others, they will just take advantage and use other things as baskets, or try to check for push carts that are empty.

I was not really surprised. Kahit ako, naisip ko yun. Pwede naman gumawa ng paraan yung mga taong nauna, na hindi daw need ng push cart, na kuha nalang ng basket of some sort then yun ang gawin lalagyan ng mga bibilhin nila. And yes, totoo nga. We saw those people na nauna sa amin pulling a rubber bayong shaped trolly. They placed the things they're going to buy inside that rubber bayong shaped trolly na binebenta din ng S&R. Pero in the end, pag dating sa counter, hindi pala nila babayaran yung trolly. They just took advantage of the situation para makalamang sa mga nagpagod pumila. S&R Management was wrong to make that awful announcement.

Anyway... Going back to light kwento. I took a pic of S&R inside.

Madaming tao pero hindi sooo many. Hindi pa stampede. lol.
Hmm... we finished shopping around 3pm. Sulit naman. I didn't get to take photos of what my in-laws bought. Pero madami din silang binili na B1T1 and naka-sale.

Eh diba, I said nga on my previous post, I already went shopping yesterday, so konti nalang binili ko kanina. Too bad, some of the items I bought yesterday were on sale na kanina. Tipong P100 - P200 off. Sayang din yun. Oh wellz...

L to R: Zip All Purpose Cleaner, Lysol Toilet Cleaner ata yun (B1T1), Pampers, Colgate (4 boxes),
Ivory Bath Soap, Suave Bath Soap (B1T1), Heinz Ketchup, Hand Soap (B1T1) and Tortilla Chips.
Chocolate overload.
I decided to put the items in storage already. So the storage cabinet now looks like this. Hindi pa nagkasya yung iba. Nakatiwang-wang pa yung iba sa labas.

Hoarding? Hehe.
Lesson Learned Today:
1. During Early Bird Sale, buy only items that are ON SALE or B1T1. (You can always go back on the sale day itself to check if the items you want to buy have marked down. In my case diba, I bought few items nung Early Bird Sale palang na hindi pa on sale talaga, it turned out, mag-mamark down cya sa mismong sale. Ayon, nanghinayang ako ng kaunti kanina.)

2. Wake up early on the first day sale. It is to avoid the scorching heat of the sun and the heat of siksikan. Well. Not really siksikan pero close to that nadin. The early bird gets the best new items. If you're late kasi, it's either, lamog na yung bagay or bugbog na kakadampot, or ubos na.

3. As much as possible, bring water, fan, gadgets like phone or ipad or the like, chi-cha or food and folding chair. Pag pumila ka, uuhawin ka kakatayo. Maiinitan ka kasi the longer you're in line, the hotter it will be kasi tumatanghali or humahapon na. You'd probably get bored so gadgets will help you. Antagal mo sa pila, gugutumin ka at mapapagod ka din talaga kakatayo kaya mas okay if you bring folding chairs.

4. Don't bring with you mainiping company. Don't bring your kids, as much as possible. They'll get bored, tired and cranky. Believe me! We waited in line outside for 3 hours. Elderly and kids won't stay that long. Kawawa din kasi.

5. Bring a car! If it is sale and you're planning to buy a lot, please bring your car, your neighbor's jeep, or any transpo. Surely you'll need it. Not necessary though, pero most of the people I saw kanina, would need a transpo and not really commute.

6. As much as possible, if you're a hoarder of home products, food, etc., buy stuff that would last until September-ish kasi by Sept, may sale ulit sa S&R. Hehe. :)

I am really tired. Didn't get to sleep kaninang hapon paguwi kasi naglilikot si Johann. Plus now I am blogging. I just can't contain it that I needed to blog it agad-agad. Hehe.

BTW, S&R is still on Sale up to March 17. Hurry now! There are a lot of items na ang bilis naubos! Hoarding na!! Hehe. :)

Nytie!

Items From SnR

John and I went to S&R earlier to check items that are already on sale. We arrived at S&R around 2pm. Got the things we really needed. Most of the items we need are either B1T1 or marked down. Some aren't so we'll just go back tomorrow or I mean later, midnight na pala.

You know, it is my first time to really buy items in the grocery na ganito kalalaki. It was like hoarding for me pero kanina when we were grocery shopping, a lot of people pala talaga buy or hoard these items. Haha. Parang end of the world or it's like something big will strike earth kaya need mag-imbak ng kung anu-anong kailangan. Haha! Usually kasi, family size for me is yung isang malaking pack ng Joy na nabibili sa typical grocery. Sa S&R gallon by gallon ang labanan! Haha. I wanted to buy Downy and Tide sana.. kaso ang laki and mahalia. Di keri ng budget. lol. By the way, first timer din ako mag-grocery sa sale ng S&R.

I am not a member, my sister-in-law is. However, after grocery shopping earlier, I am considering on applying for their membership. Before kasi, we would go with my in-laws lang if they will go grocery shopping at S&R. Speaking of, pumunta din sila kanina and they brought Johann with them, naka-motor kasi kami so bawal bata. I mentioned kasi the night before, I might check na for some items na naka sale para hindi na super hassle sa sale day itself. Siguro, naintriga din sila so gora nadin sila kanina.

Hubby went to work around 5pm so he needed to go na by 4:30pm. In-laws and I finished grocery shopping around 6pm nadin. Sa in-laws ko na ako sumabay pauwi.

Hubby and I agreed on a certain budget to spend but as expected, I exceeded. Hehe. Here are the grocery items we bought. Karamihan jan, naka-sale na. Few items lang yata yung binili ko that are not on sale. I will estimate pala the prices ha. Kasi kadalasan, P99.95.. so, gagawin ko nang P100. Hehe.

Everything.
Royal Dansk Wafer - P120/each

So there you go. Honestly, P5,000 is soooo bitin if you're going to S&R on sale day. We went waaay beyond! Pero sulit naman kasi magagamit din lahat to for a few months. Mababawasan yung monthly na ginogrocery ko. And mauubos to just in time for the second sale this year in S&R on September. By that time, member na ako! Haha. Kailangan magipon ng P10,000 or may be more? for September sale! Hahaha! :))

As I said, most of the items we bought are already on sale, but there will be more later, March 13-17.

Kaya I need to sleep na, I'll go with my sister-in-law ulit mamaya. We need to leave early.

Goodluck sa pilahan, unahan at balyahan. Joke! Hehe.

Home Improvement 1

Hello!

I just want to make kwento to you guys about my son Johann. I have said it before in one of my previous post that Johann is a hand full. But it is okay. Lalaki kasi, napaka-likot. He usually plays with anything shiny or colorful. I am trying my best not to make him sanay with that habit. Pero minsan, di talaga masuway. He usually picks the stuff on the dresser. Either cologne, perfume bottles, etc. Tatakot kami na baka mabasag and ma-tibo (mapasukan ng bubog yung paa) si Johann. Plus most perfume we have are expensive. Wala kaming pera pambili ulit. Haha!

I was cleaning the other day, and took a picture of the dresser. Well, we have the antique dresser with heart mirror. Medyo open talaga sya so easy access for my baby. As you can see also, medyo madami dami rin ang pwede nyang maabot or makuha jan. Just don't mind the messiness of the dresser. I was cleaning eh. Pinunasan ko sila isa isa.. Hehe.

Sorry for the kalat. Hehe.
The day after I cleaned the dresser, I tried checking for ideas online, that I can apply so that it won't be so makalat anymore and for Johann not to reach those stuff you saw above. I remembered that before, when we bought something in Ace Hardware, I saw this aisle where they have laminated wood planks. So, I checked the website. There were limited planks in their website eh, no prices too. I decided to call them nalang. The person who answered gave the phone to a guy who is assigned in that aisle. He was very helpful. He even provided me with better ideas and not to mention prices of each. Take note: sa phone lang yun ha. I asked his name and told him we'd drop by later that afternoon.

John and Johann accompanied me in going to Ace Hardware. I looked for the guy I talked to. He assisted us with all our needs. He was very informative too with the products we were looking for. From the plank, to the light bulb, to the telephone shower, to mirror brackets etc. I wonder if all the people in Ace Hardware are that helpful. May be because the last time I was there, I was assisted properly din naman. I am very thankful for that guy in AH.

We installed the plank the following day. And look who helped us do so. We have a little handy helper at home. He even used his toy hammer. Hehe.

My little handy helper and my Handy Manny (Johnny) . Haha.
First try.
I finished installing the plank. John had to go to work na kasi. I can also be a carpenter you know. I placed hooks under the plank for the clothes and for my necklaces. I bought hooks that can be hammered on a concrete wall. I am so amazed 'coz it can hold up to 15kg. I was initially planning to buy hooks that can be placed on the wall using adhesive. It is not reliable pala for clothes. Good thing this guy from AH suggested we use the hooks for concrete. And viola!

Actual stuff we placed on the plank. Plus the hooks under the plank.

I was actually teasing Johann: "Haha, you can't reach them anymore, baby." Johann keeps on smiling lang, while trying to reach the top. Then after a while he said "Mama, di abot baby." Hehe..

Pero wag kayo! Kanina lang, I saw him dragging his chair, trying to reach the powder puff. Haha! Persistent! :)

Q: Any home improvements you know? Wanna share? :)

Electrolux HUSH Happier at Home

I am or was a happy-go-lucky person. I didn't even know how to wash the dishes, clean the house, do the laundry or even cook! But ever since I became a mom and wife, I try my best to make sure that my hubby and baby are well taken cared. So I learned everything from cleaning, washing, baking, preparing and cooking. It just came naturally. Ganon yata talaga kapag mommy na.

One thing I love doing is baking/cooking and preparing food and drinks. Ako pa man din yung tipong first try, almost perfect na! Kaya I am loving it more. The only thing that is preventing me to do so (always) is the lack of good kitchen appliances. I believe kasi na the food will be better if cooked the right way in the right kind of utensil or appliance. In example, when I was in college, I baked a cupcake using a Turbo machine. Imagine? Haha! Cupcake was delicious but it appeared not to be. Gets? It's not presentable but tastes good. Kasi, it was not baked properly in the right kind of oven. It'll be better sana if baked sa oven talaga. Diba?

So anyway, every time I prepare a meal or merienda, hubby always wants to have either juice, shake/smoothie or soda. But we are now trying to cut it off, I mean the soda, 'coz nawiwili masyado si baby. So NO to soda for now. Hubby's favorites are Country Time Pink Lemonade and the Kool Aid Strawberry. Minsan I would make them not as juice but shake. The thing is, I really seldom make them as shake 'coz little Johann doesn't like the noise. It's too loud that it scares him. Always yan! He would cry and run to his dad. I don't know nga eh, even the hand mixer nga takot 'cya. Oh well.

I have a recent discovery though. I present to you, The Electrolux Powermix Silent Blender. I researched and read most reviews regarding this amazing blender. IT DOES NOT SCARE BABIES OR TODDLERS! Why so? Well, as the name goes, "Silent Blender".
Sooo Stylish!

Yezzz! We may have one those conventional blenders at home but the Powermix Silent Blender is really waaaaay better! It is 10x quieter than the average blender that we have. Powerful but Quiet, not to mention Neat and Stylish. What more can we ask for?

Things to love:
1. Easy to clean because Electrolux made the jug's inside smooth. Blades are removable too! So no left overs in the blades of the blender. (Ganyan yung luma naming blender! Magkakasugat ka muna bago mo malinis yung ilalim nung blade. Di kasi natatanggal. Hehe.)
Removable!

2. Any food that we blend will be pulled down to the blades since it has a triangular jug design. It creates a vortex effect that pulls it to the blades. We don't really have to worry with chunk of food stuck on the walls of our blender.
See the vortex?

3. It's not only a blender but a mini chopper. It has an additional accessory to chop/grind. Plus, a fruit filter, so it would automatically separate the fresh fruit juice from it's seeds, pits or pulp.
Fruit Filter

4. As mentioned, it is Quiet. It features a Sound Reduction System, a unique combination of reduced vibrations and airflow. Sound level - 80 dB (parang sound ng phone dial tone). It's that quiet! (Source)

5. And lastly, easy to use! You don't have to make pili of what button to press 'coz the only thing you need to control is the speed dial. From 0 - Pulse - Min - Max.
Easy right?

Is there anything we should/would hate? None! Besides, it is from a trusted brand, Electrolux.

Baby-Compatible.
Conversation-Compatible.

I am sure, weekends won't be the same again. It would be more fun, quieter and more relaxing having cool drinks and merienda or meals, hassle-free and scare-free, especially to my baby! Ooh! Did I also mention? Hubby is a bartender. Once in awhile, during Sundays, he would mix some drinks for us. It us our ultimate bonding session, alcohol/cocktail drinking. He would sometimes use our noisy blender in making mojito. It would be awesome if he'd do it noise-free!

Have a happy weekend everyone! :)

Great Finds 1!

I am a sucker for home organizing stuff. Post its, notepads, utility boxes, boxes with dividers, baskets etc. Since our house is so cluttered, I really need those! Hehe. And did I mention, my mind is cluttered too? Haha! That's why may post its and notepads.. I love to list my thoughts! :D

Believe it or not, I can be soooo organized at times, pero pag nagmamadali, I tend to put things anywhere nalang. However, may cycle cya, once I notice that it is so messy already, back to linis, ligpit and organize na.

So anyway, I passed by Daiso Japan Home Center in ATC last Monday. Here are the things I bought:

Toothbrush holder with cup
see? mga pang organize ng kung anik-anik.
May, my bestfriend, bought this liquid soap. I got inggit, I bought two, to try. Hehe.
Mabango cya infairness and soft sa skin.
Handy Medicine Organizer for me. John already has his, ako naman.
Rack with stand.
Basket for whatevers
Those are really cheap! Great finds too!

Q: What are your recent loots/finds?
Would you prefer the cheap ones or the expensive ones?

24/7

Hello beautiful people! :)

I know it is kind of late night na, but this is the only time I can really concentrate on blogging. I have my hands full from the moment I wake up until the moment Johann sleeps at night. I really need a quiet time for blogging you know, and with Johann running around the house, won't really help me organize my thoughts.. Hehe..

Honestly though, I am online usually and mostly 24 hours a day. I just don't really get to blog a lot especially if I still have chores to do. I only check the social media and posts some things once in a while. Googling also is my thing with regards to checking recipes, how to do this and that and the like. There would be times also where in I pay the bills online. Very convenient! I can even check the bill/statement account online!

So, you see, I am not the nerdy nerdy geeky geeky type of person, but yes, I am always in front of the computer or ipad just to be online. Haha. I don't even switch the wifi modem off. As in it is running 24/7, even the laptop.

That's the beauty of having a very reliable internet provider. No problems at all! I have been a loyal customer of PLDT, I may say, because I get what I am paying for. I can be online 24/7 without having a hassle.

But, it all started when I needed to have internet for school way back highschool. So when I applied for their service, I took the advantage of that need of mine. I applied for the best plan a student would ever have. Hehe. I have the plan 1995 ever since. Been giving me the fastest internet speed. Even better when they provided me a wifi modem. We can use the internet by using a laptop, phone and ipad all at the same time. I even have the Telpad which is very useful. And it keeps getting better!

As I mentioned, I also availed of the PLDT Telpad. I like it so much! It has an Android OS. There are built-in apps that we can use here at home.

But first ofcourse, Telpad is a phone with a tablet. You can detach the tablet and can still use the Telpad like a normal phone. If you put the tablet back, it is like having the feeling of sossy-ness because you can dial phone numbers on the tablet. So parang, tuma-touch screen ka sa pagtawag sa kapitbahay mo. Hehe. Better if the person you're calling has a Telpad. You will be able to see other on the screen. Nice noh?

Since, it is a tablet, you can use it just like an iPad. You know kasi, here at home, the iPad belongs talaga to Johann. He plays games using it. John naman watches NBA a lot so he uses the laptop para he can also watch the games online. Eh since I want to check FB, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Blogger, Tumblr and a lot more, I want to use something to check those. Buti nalang may Telpad! I installed those apps in the Telpad so wala na kaming pakielamanan sa pagonline. Walang agawan. Hehe.

PLDT @ HOME is one of the cool apps the PLDT Telpad has. It is like an online directory of almost everything you need. Just click search, type in what you need and the app will provide you information linking to what you searched. Very convenient right?

And there's more! There are other built-in apps you can use which I know you will find interesting. Meralco app to check your bills, compute consumption and check updates, Bills Online app to check your PLDT bill online, TelMeHow to check on how to cook and other how to dos, and ofcourse, since Telpad has Android OS, you can still download apps and games of what you want and need.

Tell me, wouldn't you want a service like that? Well, I am a satisfied customer and I am getting more than what I am paying. Best provider ever (haven't been with other providers but I don't need OTHER provider), giving the best service and convenience at our fingertips. What more can we ask for? :)

For more info on PLDT @ Home, check this website.

PS: I mentioned above I am usually in front of the laptop/pc/ipad. Yes, I am. Always, but, only after I finish my chores, attended to Johann's and John's needs and when kiddo is sleeping already. Hihi. (Baka kasi sabihin ninyo, pinababayaan ko si kolokoy just to be online eh. Hehehe, nag-explain?)
