John Wick

John Wick is a revenge thriller film starring Keanu Reeves.

John Wick's wife just died and some badass-punk-wannabe took something from him (John's car) and killed the poor puppy, he just received as a gift from his dead wife.

Unfortunately, those punks left him (John Wick) alive. Little do they know, they just messed with the wrong guy at the wrong time. As expected. revenge followed.

My take on the movie:

1. Mababaw lang akong tao. Yes, I liked the movie. Typical revenge-thriller-action kind of movie but this time, it's starring Keanu Reeves. He was a hitman with a different feel. It was something new for me since I haven't seen Keanu in any intense action movie like this one.

2. As expected though, even if this movie is a deep-action movie with all the hunting and gun firing, you wouldn't really see Keanu in an extreme fighting moves. Some scenes were blah. You know in the movie that everybody knows John Wick and most of them are even afraid of him. They were not eager to fight him but since duty calls, they just got to do it. So you'd have this impression that he's so freakin' good. But yeah, too good to be true. Punches and kicks were too weak for his character. It's like, he's good with guns but never with martial arts part. Just like what he is in Matrix, I guess. Those punches and kicks thrown were very limited. Expected but still disappointed.

3. There was no standard plot, just revenge. Then for a moment there, you'd thought, everything's finished but another story is to begin again, still a revenge though.

4. If you're looking for a story with necessary outcome, this movie ain't for you. If you're looking for a fun-action with a touch or pinch of brutality, then this is a good movie choice.

I really had fun watching John Wick. Despite some slight dismay, still two-thumbs up for me! And we all gotta love Keanu Reeves right?

What To Post?

What's up?!
I knooow I haven't blogged for a long time. I think this is the problem with me since I am just a typical stay-at-home mommy with normal chores. I just think that those everyday chores are boring. I just feel blah.

Everyday I am online, yet I have nothing to post nor share.

You know the feeling where, you want to write down everything you have in mind yet you don't know the exact words to say? Haay. There are also a lot of things going on in my mind that I don't know where to begin? Ugggh!

I love blogging, don't get me wrong. May be just now, I can't seem to find the inspiration. May be I already have the inspiration but at the back of my mind, I am still looking for more.

I'm not sure. I miss doing this but, ~(stop putting BUTs!)

Blah! @_@

Daddy

One thing I missed the most is blogging. Yes. This is really official.

I.am.officially.back.to.business.

How's everyone? Me? I am fine. We (my family and I) are trying to be okay. We are trying to cope up with life.

Earlier this year, January to be exact, Daddy passed away.  It is so sudden that even if I am not close to him, I am still affected. Not to the point that I cry every night though. There is this guilt feeling and emptiness. Yes we do fight a lot, and I mean, A LOT! That's probably why I miss him too. It's so quiet here at home that I miss his presence.

Sorry dad. I am really sorry. It is really true that you will never know what you got until it is gone. I just hope, that wherever you are right now, may God guide you to the light you have hoped for. We will always remember you in good times and bad. We love you. I know you know that Johann misses you. He is just so brave to handle and know that you are gone to heaven with Papa Jesus. But he always remembers you.

We love you daddy.

It is not easy to say goodbye especially when you never got the chance to say sorry nor say you love them. But for me, it is still never too late. I know that even if Daddy has passed away already, he sees us and knows for sure how sorry we are for ignoring him before. Deep inside I know he knows we love him and that we are grateful for having him as my father, Johann's lolo and mommy's husband.

Just Saying

This deserves a blog entry.

I just don't get it. Some people say "tangkilikin ang sariling atin". Let's say Filipino-made items or movies or the like. Pero kapag dating sa teleserye natin parang yung iba direng - dire and they generalize that there's no good stuff in National TV anymore. Hmmm.. kayo ha.. Kapag foreign artist manghang mangha kayo. Fan pa kayo. Pero kapag artista natin nandidiri kayo.

I agree and disagree. Agree at some point because YES there are shows talaga na hindi ko ma gets kung bakit pinapalabas. Like yung show sa tv5 na Face to Face.. Minsan iisipin mo bayad yang mga yan. Or who cares about their problems? Na tipong "what the hell?". And yes there are teleseryes na hindi talaga maganda ang plot.

I disagree sa sinasabi ng iba na there's no good stuff in national tv anymore, because there is. There are documentary shows and even adventure shows or teleseryes na I can say worth watching. I am not full-pledged kapamilya, kapatid nor kapuso but these three major channels that we have give good to great shows.

Hehe.

Plus, maraming shows ang may magagaling na writers at director. Hand in hand yan I believe. Kasama nadin ang mga gumaganap. Kapag walang writer.. walang show na ipapalabas or ipproduce..

Also, some shows give stories that really happens. Docu, news, reality and teleseryes. Few years back or may be just a year or two, nauso ang mga kabit or 3rd party movies.. nasundan sa teleserye.. i'm sure madaming sumubaybay sa Legal Wife. And then yung ngayon Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real ganun din. Actually, both stories are good. Sa TLW ending was okay lang but all in all magaling pagkakagawa ng TLW. It happens naman talaga to some.

Now this ADMR, it also happens. I congratulate pa nga the writers of these shows. Atleast, we admit that these kind of things happen in real life. Even the show Dading. May mga bakla or bading tayong friends na may anak and willing magkaanak. We are now open to these situations in life. And we show it to people because somebody somewhere may actually relate himself or herself to a character or to a story and  it may actually help him or her kasi kahit papaano ang mga pinapalabas sa tv ay nagbibigay din ng moral lessons sa atin.

National TV air shows like those to simply entertain and educate/inform us. Produced and directed by our fellowmen.

I watched the episode in PowerHouse of GMA na ang guest nila ay si Ms. Teysie/Tessie Tomas. She mentioned that she is an artist and a writer. And to become a good artist or writer she needs and wants to watch all kinds of movies or shows whether good nor bad, boring or not, to develop the writer in her. Minsan kapag ndi maganda ang certain scene or ending, the creativity and writer in her kicks in and she rewrites the story on her own and appreciates them.

For me, in order to appreciate what is ours, we need to know most of what we have and see. If sawang sawa na kayo sa balita about gobyerno natin and how it sucks, why not watch other shows nalang that would entertain us. Just to set up the mood or balance it up. Let's start with ours. Don't act as if sobrang papangit ng mga show na ito na masuka suka kayo, kasi if pangit, bakit andaming nanunuod or sumusubaybay? Lahat ng klase ng tao I guess. Or you are just afraid to admit 'coz society thinks you're baduy or low-life or boring na tao just by watching them?

Oh well. Just me and what I think others think. No offense. Again, an opinionated me. Hoho.

Peace!

What I Miss

Oohh. What have I missed?

Honestly, I'm not so happy nor sad with the fact that I am now able to blog. One, I just tested my laptop for the nth time, and it worked. For the nth time in the future, it might actually die on me.... again. I was planning to buy a new adapter and battery for the laptop but since I don't have money yet, I'll make kalikot nalang muna and try to make it "workable".

Two, all feelings, emotions, rants, happiness and fulfillment I have felt these past few months are mixed altogether now that I don't know how to sort them out. Yes! I have been through a lot this year. I wanted to let them all out but right now, I really don't know where to start. However, there is something I firmly stand on and that's having no regrets. I may have felt bad quite a bit. There were even questions in and out of mind but I'm glad it happened. Blessing in disguise may be, we don't know. Only God knows.

Anyway, enough for now. I'm sleepy already. Goodnight! GoodMornight rather.

S&R Early Bird Sale September 2013

I knooooow! It's been ages since! But i just had to share for some of you who are interested.

S&R is currently having their Early Bird Sale, until today, Sept. 24. Then on September 25, 2013, it'll be their September Grand Sale or Member's Treat.

Earlier today, Sept. 23, I went with my ninang to S&R. Since we are on a budget, I needed to list down all things i needed to buy. I also checked what items are already on sale.

Look what I found:

Colgate Regular 145ml 4pcs/pack = P320.00

and also i found this:

Suave kids 2-in-1 Shampoo Funpack 4pcs/pack = P400.00

Sulit diba? I didn't plan really to buy anything, just to list down all items I was planning to buy and check what items are on sale. However, from what I experienced last march, madaling maubos yung Colgate 4pcs/pack. So I had to hoard. Hahaha. Will buy again on September 25 if they are still available.

I'm so excited. I don't really know why, but grocery shopping has been my stress reliever kaya enjoy na enjoy ko. hahahaha!

See you there! Lapit na mag sale talaga! Be there by 6am or earlier! Hehehe.

PS. I'm still using the ipad to blog. Kaya hirap padin ako. This post I had to do for others to know din, Hehehe. I miss blogging though..
