Pan de Sal

Ayiii! Pan de sal! Don't you love eating pan de sal in the morning? You either dip it in or eat with a cup of coffee.

As some of you know, our family has a business of a bakery. It is almost 20 years now. When I was a kid, I seldom visit my mom there. It just so happens that now, I don't really want it there, simply because it's really hot there. The place is so small that I don't want to add up to the heat. The place where the bakery lies is an urban area here in Las Pinas. (I don't really know why, but may be because a lot of people live there.) Plus, oven there, metal bars here and there, mom running around for the customers' needs, grocery stuff everywhere and her men running around as well making and baking bread of all varieties.

Anyway, since we have a bakery, they often bring home pan de sal before. My mom's 'panaderos' really make good pan de sal. However, due to hectic schedule of my mom, she cannot really bring home pan de sal anymore. :(

Now, I really want to try and make one. I have been wanting it but my dad keeps on telling me that it's not that easy to make a good pan de sal. So, I'm having second thoughts of giving an effort.

As they say, 'practice makes it perfect!', I'll try to adapt that saying in making pan de sal. It's for my hubby and baby's brekky. (wag din sanang tatamarin! hehe!)

Once I make one, I will share it here in my blog! :)

Question: Do have something in mind that you have been wanting to do for the longest time?

Reason of Love..

I was checking and scanning my old blog and I found the content below. Was dated ages ago! Haha.. Kiddin'! It was dated September 24, 2007..

it is just so amazing that two different person meet and discover each other's personalities.

in whatever situation, it is also amazing that one fights for a reason.

a reason called love.

a reason where in you accept things which you have never imagined doing so.

a reason where smile is always seen on your face.

a reason why you are so "kilig" everytime he sends you a message,

talks to you, puts his arms around you, teases you and

tells you he likes you.

it is just so amazing as well that no matter how many questions you have in your mind,

you still end up wanting that person,

and continues to like him more and maybe love him next.

Isn't this amazing?

That there is one reason that justifies almost everything on earth?

Reason of Love..
and
Love is in the air, and always will be..

Ultimate Challenge for 2013

I know most of you have New Year's Resolution right? Well, I do too. I have a lot actually. Hihi.. However, this year, I want to challenge myself with blogging more often than I used to.

FYI, I have been blogging since highschool. I usually and literally make kwento of what happened that day. How I felt that day or what I accomplished that day. Before, I make poems of some sort. Always yun! And then I blog about it. I stopped blogging during the fun times in College. I wished I didn't stop because college would be the most interesting part of my life.

Now, I am a wife and mom. Not that I'm saying, my life's boring. It's just that, I am a stay-at-home mom. Everyday experience is always something new but, I don't know why I don't blog about them. For me, it's bitin kasi. I get to share a lot if I go out. Eh the thing is, I/We seldom go out.

So, my challenge for myself is to blog more often. This is my ULTIMATE challenge/NY Resolution for 2013.

Goodluck with that! Hehe.

Question: How about you, what is New Year's Resolution?
What is the challenge you want to give yourself for this year?

Welcome To The (Mother) Hood

It's past midnight. I opened the dashboard and opened the recent posts of other blogger I follow. Came across Topaz Mommy's blog. I saw this video Mommy Frances posted.

Here's the lyrics..

"This is my crib, and these are my babes,
My life and body have somewhat changed
I'm living it large, and by large I mean bigger,
At least now I know the difference tween a tractor and a digger
I express like the best from these holes in my chest,
wear my nursing bra, like a bulletproof vest
Got my bitches by my side and my hose in the back,

Swap my sexy handbag for a snot stained sack
My decor was smart, my taste was extra picky
Now my surfaces are cluttered, and nearly always sticky
Work versus home is a mental combination
with my elbows deep, in infant defecation
Wipe the sick off my coat, but the smell still lingers
Gave up on real food, eat leftover fishfingers

Once we'd talk about our lives, now the conversation switches
We compare cesarian scars episiotomy stitches
It's the motherhood, it's another hood
I'd like to welcome you, but now you're here for good
We go from nappy rash to ending family feuds
And I'm flooding up your timeline with my baby news.

Still got my wardrobe but my thong now itches
Designer sofa but now there's puke in the stitches
And I'm expressive, I express all the time
Cos the doc said, to not breastfeed is a crime
Tried to get my bod back with some yogalates
Hit up the Zumba class swing by these new pilates

I'm on an Atkins hype, on a Keto diet
I try avoid the bread so I nearly never buy it
Pop a nappy on his butt without a changing matt
CBeebies now my crew and I'm tight with Postman Pat
Sleep deprived and under house arrest
Think Id sell both kidneys just to get some rest
Spent three months in PJs it was clearly a sign

Joined a book club just so I could drink some wine
My sterilisers so dope all my bottles be gleaming
I got a blender out the back so I can start up the weaning
It's the motherhood, it's another hood
And once you're in the club, you're in for good.
Go from fighting nappy rash to endless doctor queues
And I'm flooding up your timeline with my baby news.

I'm a school-run-taker, fairy-cake-baker, deal-maker, orgasm-faker, nit-raker, rattle-shaker,
Cheese-grater, night-time-waker, I'm-a-placater, peacemaker..."

The video was actually true and hilarious at the same time. Being a mommy (especially full-time) is quite something new for me. It has been 2 years already since I became a first time mom. But heck, there's always a new discovery everyday.

Anyway, I really can't seem to disagree with what the video says. Most things mentioned happened or is happening to me as a mom. Hehehe.

....okay, lemme watch the video again! ehehe..

Best job in the world! :)

Planning My 2013

Before the year ended last year 2012, I decided to buy a 2013 planner. I tried searching for a perfect planner to carry around. I have had planners before that are too bulky to put in my everyday bag so, I had to leave them at home which came to a point that some of those planners have been forgotten as the months passed.

I bought a Paulo Coelho: Transformations Day Planner 2013 in National Bookstore for P495.00. Not bad. It is a colorful planner. I really like it because of it's simplicity and handiness. It's just like a typical notebook which you can put in your bag and bring everyday. :)

The planner is so ponder-y. Why? Because as you turn the page, there's a quote from Coelho's works. It makes me want to ponder on things thru the quotations.

However, come December, during our Christmas party (with Tarat), Yveth, who actually picked my name, gave me a planner. It is the Navi 2013: Your Life Navigator planner. It's simple too and handy, not as handy as Coelho's though.

Since it was given to me by a friend, I don't want to not use it. Ayoko naman sayangin siyempre. So, I really thought of how I'd maximize both things I have without disregarding the other one.

I decided to make the Coelho planner as my everyday planner. I put the things needed to be done and also I use it as a diary of some sort. Well, I usually write in my planner the things that happened in a certain day. Teehee!

Anyway, as for the other planner, I put the list of things of anything. List of what I need to buy, what I want to blog, and list of what I actually spent for the day.

Both planners so far are being used in such way. I don't want to waste what a friend has given me and certainly the thing I bought.

As for 2013... Goodluck! May these planners be good tools for me to accomplish things in this year. :)
